Former Muslim Testifies @ IHOP Awakening
Last night at the IHOP Awakening Meeting this women testified about how she came to know Jesus as a young girl living in a the middle east in a muslim home. This was one of the most astounding testimonies I have ever heard. Looking at her last night I really did understand that what the world calls "great" will be least in God's Kingdom. Unfortunately, the video was mysteriously "disrupted" for a few minutes right at the climax of her testimony, but you don't much of her message. Enjoy this!

Praises Breakout in the Nightwatch
The other day I stumbled into the prayer room at 6:00am after I just woke up to find the nightwatchers praising Jesus with crazy joy & passion. Most of them actually didn't leave the Prayer Room until about 8:00am. Here is a little video of what happened

James Timothy 11.23.09
Here is a video of James Timothy at 2.5 weeks old. I think He looks like me (Ryan). It seemed like John looked/s so much like Sally, but I think this little guy has more of His dad's features thus far.

Skeptical about the move of Holy Spirit?
The move of the Holy Spirit is many times very offensive to the human mind, because we can't understand "why" God would make or allow people to do such strange things. However 1 Cor. 2 tells us that God uses foolishness to shame human wisdom. Holy Spirit loves to produce humble people that tremble before God and not before man, and so many times He strips of our human strength and reputation by having us become childlike in His presence. The following testimony explains How the main facilitator of the IHOP awakening was skeptical when it began but later got "blasted" by the power of God. Watch and receive!!

Are we really alive?
The following testimony from the IHOP awakening really struck my heart in a powerful way. I identified with the testimony so much, and I really think that most believers need to hear this and get re-awakened to faith. All I know is that my heart is being stirred like never before during this outpouring of God's Spirit and I believe that revival is brewing! God awaken us!

James Timothy Corrigan
Yesterday at 4:30pm Sally went in to see the Midwives and they checked her out and she was 4cm diolated and seemed very ready to have the baby. At 8:30pm she started having steady strong contractions that she couldn't walk or talk through that were 4 minutes apart lasting about a minute each. However, I didn't think we were progressing rapidly so we stayed at home and she labored in our bedroom. Some of our friends came over and we talked about Jesus and the end times while watching & praying over Sally. This went on for 4 hours with no real change in strength or timing of the contractions, so at 12:30 we went to the hospital hoping she would be at least 5cm diolated so that she could finish the labor in a really nice whirlpool tub in one of the birthing rooms. Well, when we got to the hospital to our dismay she was still only 4cm diolated! This was very disheartening to Sally since she had been having strong contractions for over 4 hours. They actually thought that Sally was in a type of false labor that is caused by stripping the membraines from the cervix. I guess doing this little procedure helps jump start labor sometimes, but also sometimes just jumpstarts contractions without true labor. So in light of this our midwife recommended that we take a medication that is supposed to help calm the uterus, and that is what we did. So at 2:20am the nurses sent us home to try to get some rest. Sally and I sent home our baby sitter and thought that the medication would help slow the contractions down. So we turned the lights off and tried to go to sleep. Well, this was the hardest part of the labor....Sally was so discouraged at this point because the contractions still kept coming at the same rate but she thought she wasnt't progressing. For an hour and a half we layed in bed and prayed and she had the same type of contractions she had been having all along, except she was much, much, more emotional. However at about 3:45 she had a few contrations that seemed a little more intense. I suddenly felt an urgency (that I know was from the Holy Spirit) that we had to get to the hospital now! (However, my urgency didn't really match how she was doing.) We called our sitter back and left the house in a hurry. As we drove the contractions increased dramatically coming with much greater force and very close together. While driving Sally started feeling intense urges to push! We pulled up to the Hospital and they literally ran Sally down to the womens center and checked her and she was 7 cm diolated and progressing very fast. They called our Midwife and told her to rush to the hospital because the baby would be here very soon. They transitioned us to the labor room and the entire way she was groaning & screaming like I have never heard before from my wife and we got to the room and they checked her again and she was completely diolated and the baby was in the canal coming down! At this point the contractions were so intense and so close together that they were telling Sally not to push but she told them she couldn't wait. They called the resident doctor on call to come up, because the Midwife was not going to make it. But Sally didn't even wait for her. The next contraction she pushed the head right out within just a few seconds! But when His head came out The cord was rapped around His neck 3 times! The nurses jumped on it quick and cut it off of Him. Then after He was free she pushed one more time and He came out almost shooting out with the help of the resident doctor who came in finally to help with the last push. However, the little guy wasn't breathing right and they were worried that his lungs were punctured since He came out so hard and fast. So they took Him down to the ICU and started running tests and did an X-ray. At this point I went with John and Sally's friend Mellisa stayed with her. But after 2 hours little James' breathing turned around and His lungs looked good so they finally gave Him to mama to eat His first meal. Praise the Lord. So basically, Sally had 7 hours of contractions 4 minutes apart for a minute each and she did not progress at all, and then literally in 40 minutes - 1 hour she went from 4 cm to 10 cm diolated! We were only at the Hospital for about 25 minutes the second time before James was born and our midwife did finally make it after everything had already happened but the nurses were the ones responsible for delivering James. Just goes to show you that you never can tell what will happen in birth!

awaiting the arrival of baby boy #2
Well...the due date for the baby is November 3rd, quickly approaching. I'm feeling very ready to have this baby and to meet him. Wondering if he will look at all like John or totally different. It will be such a change being a mom of 2 but I'm excited to see who the Lord has made this little guy to be. I'm praying that the Lord will give John grace through this transition of being an only child and having all the attention to being the big brother and sharing the attention of his parents with his little brother. We'll keep you posted on the arrival of the little guy. We are registered at Target and Babies R Us if you'd like to get a little something for him.

Preparation for the Days to Come and Becoming Wholehearted
When Sally & I left the Charlotte area to move to K.C. we felt like Holy Spirit was really emphasizing stratety on how to prepare to live in the shaking has come and will continue to come to America. Backing up a little I want to clarify that we have felt strongly from studying scripture and from impressions upon our hearts from the Lord and from numerous dreams we felt like were from the Lord that America is entering into a complete economic collapse from what we have known in the past. We believe that this is going to remove America as a major world power economically from now until the end of the age. Practically, I believe that we can expect major business closure to contine and unemployment to increase unto a major food shortage & a swine flue epademic. During this time as we as a society go through such a massive trial, I think we can expect a subtle histeria of fear to imerge with the vast majority of the people asking the government how they are going to fix the problems. We believe this has been perfectly orchestrated by an anti-christ occult & banking system that has been working behind the scenes for hundreds of years to establish a one world order. We know from scripture that this will be successfully implemented under a false peace and safety legislation that ultimately leads to the anti-christ rise to power in the earth. So with America in a fear pandamonium over the lack of food and jobs it will be ther perfect storm for "them" to save the day with a solution to stabalize the economy by introducing another major step towards a global currency. The people will happily say yes to this as long as it gives them back their normal 2500-3000 calorie diet, Starbucks & their 8-5 "secure" jobs. However, I believe that during this time the "wheat will be seperated from the chaff" to another degree and we will start to see the church arise as a true apostolic witness of Jesus Christ that will lead to a harvest in the U.S. of hundreds of thousands if not millions of souls. However, the learning curve will be great on the front side of all this and the church will see many people fall into deception, sin & an agreement with the anti-christ system. But those that truely love Jesus will cling more to Him than anything else during this hour of history, and instead of the world comfort of the flesh we will see a people being comforted by the Lord Jesus and the Church will grow in intimacy with Jesus like never before in human history.
But every believer will have to make a choice in their hearts. Does my provision and protection come from the Lord Jesus or does it come from the government? It will show us who we really look to in times of crisis: do we look to the strength and wisdom of man's systems or do we rely on the living God and His word. However, most of america will buy into this government "strategy" to "fix" the economy and they will be swept right back into a dull spirit saying "we are not in the end-times and everything is just fine." I guess the question we have to ask ourselves is do we really believe we are living at the end of the age and do we really think everything is fine? I have news for you if you think the market is going to be OK then you are in a delusion. Yes, we may see momentary recovery through these banking powers "adjusting things" and saving the day through a global currency. But the Bible tells us clearly that at the end of the age the only people who can buy & sell are those that have "the mark of the name of the beast" upon them. So, in essence an anti-Christ system is being allowed to imerge in this time in history to give men over to what they really want (romans ch.1), the fullness of man's own strength & leadership, and to purify the Church.
Whenever there is true pressure placed upon the church the true believers are seperated out and they begin to shine with the radiance of Christ. And let me interject that there will never, ever be a lasting true revival in America apart from intense persecution upon the church. Persecution is the main instrument used to create purity in the church, (which is revival) and unto awakening in society, the salvation of souls. So to cry our for revival is to cry out for what the bible calls "the fullness of the wheat and the tares to grow up together." We will see the greatest harvest of souls in the midst of the darkest time in human history called the fullness of sin, or the revealing of the mystery of lawlessness.
So during this time when our "faithful" economy isn't so faithful anymore it will bring people to a place of being humbled. Those that do chose the humily and have a genuine desire for the truth will be saved. Those that hang on to their own plans and ideas will be given over to the greatest deception the world has seen this far. So This brings me back to my original point how do we practically position ourselves now as a people to get ready for what is coming? Well, this has been what I have been seeking the Lord about in a very intense way over the last 6 months. I would say the main thing we must do right now is develope true intimacy with Jesus through long and loving meditation upon the scripture. We must carve out hours every day to spend time devoted to getting the true knowledge of Jesus Christ. I say this because when all this stuff starts hitting the fan, we will have a great temptation to get offended at the Lord's leadership and be deceived in our hearts that He isn't good. So the way we combat this is to truly know His heart. Not what we think His heart is like, not what we have heard is heart is like, we must have our own individual encounter with the heart & nature of Jesus Christ so that we can trust Him in the mist of shaking.
The second way we can prepare is to build genuine apostolic community. What I mean by this is, we must seek to build communities of believers like what we saw in the early church in the book of acts. (Now I will say that it must be spirit led building, we can't seek to do this "model" by the flesh or it will be just another man made system.) But we must start doing life with our fellow believers. We must start living in close quarters with them, we must start to eat meals together, we must share our possesions with one another, allow our children to grow up together, and most importantly we must gather together daily to pray together. You know we are all weak and broken people and even when the church is in its finest hour we will still need one another. There is no such thing as a lone ranger Christian. Think about it The New Jerusalem is a massive single structure and for eternity all believers live together in that one "house". God is a Father and He likes having all His children close to Him in His own house. So we need to get past our American individualistic mentalities and start to get Heaven's mentality that we are now "One New Man" in Chirst Jesus.
The last few practical things I think we can do is to: get out of debt, downsize personal expenses, store up food, and get together some survival equipment, and maybe learn some gardening. Now I will say that in light of this we must deal with the motives of our hearts first. We cannot be motivated by fear when we enter into any of this. If we are storing food primarily out of fear then we miss the Lord's main intent through all of this. We store food mostly to feed others, our families and our neighbors. If we get into a self preservation spirit then we loose the gospel message. As Christians we are called to let go of this life, to love not this life even unto death, and even to voluntarily give up our lives for Christ. So if we start trying to save ourselves we fall into the fear & pride that makes people "faint" and "grow cold" at the end of the age. What we must do as a first priority is get our hearts free from fear. And how do we do this? Well, mostly we start giving! We start entering into a life of pouring our ourselves upon the Lord's feet everyday and letting the aroma of that rest upon all our neighbors. Just picture a time when the world is falling apart at the seams and the majority of people are terrified of death, but there is a people that are so filled with Joy because they are not living for this age, they have already died to this life, and they know that they are going to spend eternity with Jesus on the earth. Imagine a people in the last days who really have their hope resting in the age to come. Imagine a people that aren't afraid of dying because they know that Jesus will surely come in just a moment of time and ressurect their bodies with His same immortality. Imagine a people that are constantly giving everything away to help others because they know that the Lord is faithful to provide for His children no matter what is happening in the earth. This is why we must become a people of genuine faith, and we must know that we can trust that the Lord will sustain us every moment until the moment we have been ordained to die, but that death really has no hold over us and that He will resurect us on the last day, and then we will never ever die. The question again is do we really believe this. So lets get our hearts free from fear by giving radically.
The last thing I want to say about all of this is that the Lord is going to fund the greatest harvest in human history right in the midst of economic caos. Somehow because "all the silver & gold are His" He will move resources around in such a profound way that the gospel will be able to penetrate every tribe tongue people & nation. So what does this mean? well, I think we can expect amazing financial explosions from time to time in the church that will thrust the gospel forth just before the last 3.5 years of human history. But the majority of the time the gospel will be funded by a people living by faith giving small-medium gifts as a lifestyle. Some people are expecting that all of the sudden millions of dollars are just going to show up in the church, and though that may happen here and there as a strategic act of the Lord, I don't believe it will not be the norm. Most of the people are going to be living by "daily bread". This means that the Lord will always provide for the day we are living, but not necessarily provide the month whole month we are living in. Some ask why? well, its simple today I trust the Lord for bread, and then tomorrow I trust the Lord for bread and I begin to live a lifestyle of faith. We will see supernatual "manna" from heaven just like the Israelites, and multiplication of food & other resources that will be specifically for meeting the basic needs of the people but also for radical offerings to the poor & the church. However, All of this will be done through the prayers of saints filled with faith, it will not be automatic.
This idea that God wants us to be "increasing & comfortable" during the end times is rooted in a deception. Just because we profess Jesus as Lord does not mean in any way that we are just going to be able to sit back and relax in the comfort of our big houses and watch our bank accounts increase. All that this comfort has produced a dullness and a complacentcy in the hearts of the church. You know abundance is suposed to make our hearts be wowed and fall in Love with Jesus more, but that original "wow" has wained and now all we have is a society that expects the blessing without growing in love. Jesus wants us to experience the greatest level of His love possible in this age and the way He has to do this the majority of the time is by gently kicking out the "props" that we are holding ourselves up upon that are not Him. This is called Judgement. He wants to consume us spirit, soul & body with Himself. He has to help us to stop being so facinated with the"TV" (among many things) so that we will actually look at Him and see what we have been missing. When we finally see Him after everything else we have given our hearts to is removed we will be overcome by the beauty and majesty of who He really is. We we be blown away to such a level that we will not care anymore about any earthly thing, because we will have fallen so deeply in love with the living beautiful God. Right now ALL of us have food addictions, media addictions, etc, as well as 2000 other things that distract our hearts from really having a fixed gaze upon Jesus, that we don't even know how good God really is. It's like saying that you like steak, but you never eat it. It's like saying that you love your wife but you never spend any intimate time with her. Well, Jesus is going to fullfil His word from Hosea Ch. 2 and He is going to allure us into the wilderness where we will not be able to pursue and overtake any of our other lovers. He will put us in a place where it will be just Him and us called the wilderness. At first we will long for our old comforts and american luxury which our hearts loved more than Him, but the more we are around Him the more we will see that He is SO much better than anything we have ever tasted in this life, and we will truly say that the Lord's love is better than earthly pleasure. So Right now we can voluntarily set ourselves in the wilderness and we can start de-toxing from the fleshly comforts that distract our hearts from loving Jesus wholeheartedly or we can wait and let Him do it. Either way He will have a Bride that Loves Him the same as He loves her - wholehearted.
But every believer will have to make a choice in their hearts. Does my provision and protection come from the Lord Jesus or does it come from the government? It will show us who we really look to in times of crisis: do we look to the strength and wisdom of man's systems or do we rely on the living God and His word. Faith Keeping us Steadfast
"Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called "Today," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end," Hebrews 3:12-14
You know, if you haven't noticed, things are not like they used to be. I can remember days in seasons past when I could claim that I was walking by faith but I never had to practically exert my faith muscle. I think many people in the western church have been in this boat. However, we are moving into a time in history where we won't be able to make it without daily flexing our faith muscles. I have recently been meditating upon the Book of Hebrews and especially Chapters 3 & 4. I have been really seeing that yesterdays testimony of faith is not enough anymore to get me through today. I can't just rely on yesterdays stories to get me through my current challenge. However, we know that the testimonies do build a histroy in God that produces a certian level of maturity. But TODAY we need to flex our faith muscle - not just because Jesus does something amazing for us, but simply based upon the fact that our hearts know that His word is true. (You know our hearts knowing the truth is very differnt then just memorizing a scripture, we have to work and press the word violently into our hearts thorugh prayer until Holy Spirit gives grace to our hearts to believe the truth - this is called sanctification.) You know many times our faith is based upon a history of praying from a heart posture of fear until the circumstancial "breakthrough" comes and then we "feel" full of faith. However, I think the true breakthrough is not when circumstances go in our favor but when our hearts are free from fear and trusting in Christ in the midst of any situation. It is my conviction from reading the scripture that circumstances in the earth are going to get really bad in the coming years, and it is going to take a people of faith to stand strong in the midst of intense trial. I want to exhort you today to be strengthened on the inside with faith and turn away from all unbelief and doubt. I know from personal experience that if we open the door just a little bit to unbelief then all kinds of sin will follow. Then sin hardens our hearts making it very difficult to receive the impartation of grace from Holy Spirit. This scripture above shows us clearly that we will be partakers with Christ in the age to come if we stay steadfast until the end of our lives. We have to stay faithful until the end to Jesus if we want to spend eternity with Him, (Obviously only the Holy Spirit can give us that grace to walk this out). All of this to say that we need to begin to build, strengthen and use our faith muscles like never before if we are going to stay steady to the end.
Searching for a House with a Solid Foundation
Sally and I have been on a journey of trying to buy a house in the Kansas City, MO area, it has been a daunting task to say the least. We have looked at somewhere around 50 properties in the area with little success. We are finding a ton of bank owned houses that have the appearance of looking good but they have major structural or foundational issues in them. The most interesting part about this is that the "flippers" do a great job trying to cover up these issues with whatever ways they can. We found one house that had an amazing 4 bedrooms 2 bathrooms, hardwood floors, new bathrooms and new kitchen; but then we went into the basement. At first glance everything seemed great but then as we did a more thourough investigation we found a horizontal crack stretching over 3 out of the 4 foundational walls of the house. The supposed fix to this is to bury metal i-beams in the concrete that run up the walls and bolt to the rafters of the house. My father who has done foundational concrete work for about 40 years basically said this, 'The house is only as good as its foundation.'
Interestingly, enough the Lord has been speaking to me for about 6 months about the "foundation" of the Christian faith. I have been telling many people for months now this exact phrase, "The Lord has been inspecting the foundation of faith in my heart and He is exposing the cracks in my belief system." As I Look at these houses with bad foundations it drives the point home even more about what the Lord is saying to me. I think in many ways the western church looks alot like some of these houses. They appear to be amazing on the outside, and you walk inside and you see more of the same: amazing floors, cabinets, hardware, lights, faucets, you name it they got it. But when you look at what is literally allowing the house to stand you realize that the overall structure is not safe to live in, and unless the foundational issues are addressed that house will not stand in the long haul. The thing about fixing foundational issues is that they are very very costly! It takes thousands of dollars and very skilled workers to fix these issues. However, most of the othe issues in a house can be fixed by any fly by night operation and actually make the house look very good to the eye.
So all of this to say that the western church has had all the "bling" that we could possibly imagine, we have growing congregations, the best technology/equipment money can buy however at the end of the day the very foundation of our faith has major "theological cracks" in it that must be revisited, and mended if what we have built thus far is going to stand during the last days shaking. You know the Lord loves His church so much that He is not just going to let her go, He is going to invest in that foundation the time, effort and resources it takes to fix her foundation. We may not see the "bling" for a while until the foundation is fixed, so I think we need to get ready and just allow the Holy Spirit to inspect reform, relay and repair and restore the foundation of faith in all of our hearts. I believe He is asking us, 'Why do you believe what you believe?' I think that Lord is going to give us a new very solid theological foundation and framework - so that when He speaks something to us we will know how to interpret it based upon correct doctrine and how then how to respond spiritually and how then to live out our day to day lives. In the most simple terms the Lord is asking us to meditate on the Bible again for long hours and He is going to re-teach us things that we think we "already know". This is going to be very disruptive to us as a body but in the long run, it will produce a foundation that will be like what Jesus said He would build His Church upon, the Rock. So lets go low and be teachable in this hour and position ourselves before the Lord so that He can impress the truth upon our hearts.

Celebrating 10 years of 24/7 prayer
This week here at IHOP-KC we are celebrating that fact that in that last 10 years worship and prayer in Kansas City has literally never stopped. IHOP hosted an anniversary "conference" where for 3 days the Leaders shared the prophetic history of how IHOP was established. The turnout was amazing as usual. About 2 thousand people made there way to the building where the main services are held. There is no parking anywhere to be found. And it really does stir up the little town of Grandview, Mo everytime IHOP has a meeting because of the traffic jam on Grandview Rd. We piled into the building and everyone is frantically trying to find a seat. Its nearly impossible to find a seat on the floor in the nice blue chairs unless you get there 30 minutes early, so you try to sit on the carpeted bleachers in the back, but that is usually quite a task as well. I usually just ended up standing up in the back where I could hold my bible open to stare at a passage while listening to the awesome sound coming forth. I was amazed at how crisp and clean the music really was. The musicians really are world class, and the worship leaders have spend years learning the dynamics of music so that they really can usher the human heart into the Lord's presence. I was so overcome numerous times from the unity of the saints in song and by the tangible presence of the Holy Spirit that I couldn't help but cry. My favorite moment was when Grace Kim & team sang "everlasting God", I was undone in that moment and was feeling the sweet grace of the Lord fresh upon my heart in such a real way that Joy just came erupting out of my soul. I was truly refreshed by the Holy Spirit. Mike Bickle's preaching was nothing short of spectacular. I was amazed to see a man filled with such joy, but filled with such an unmoveable boldness. There was a real impartation from receiving the message he was bringing that empowered the saints in faith. All in all it was an amazing time. If you have not heard the prophetic history of how the House of Prayer was started you really need to hear this. go to ihop.org and you can find the messages for free. Another amazing thing that marks a historic moment is that we the IHOP community have made a vow before the Lord to join 24/7 works of justice with the 24/7 cry for justice until the Lord returns. What this means practically is that we are all going to be very busy with many new programs starting that are all devoted to justice themes like: adoption, helping widows, rescuing children from human trafficing, the ending of abortion, mercy outreach ministry, evangelism, ect. So things are happening very fast now and it seems as though the Lord is giving us an open door to really bring a certain level of transformation to Kansas City and beyond with the messege of Christ. One of the main leaders for YWAM which is one of the biggest missions organizations in the world has now officially joined IHOP's leadership team and they have made covenant together which in essence joins the prayer & missions movement together in a very practical and real way. YWAM is even going to have an office in the new IHOP ministry center. One thing is certain Jesus is the head of the church and His leadership is perfect. But Sally and I are very excited to be apart of what the Lord is doing in KC. Blessings

We're Moving to Kansas City
Sally and I have been serving as full-time staff at the ZHOP-Charlotte for the past 2 years and on September 16th we are moving to IHOP-KC to join full-time staff there. We are excited about the next season of our lives in Kansas City and we will have many fond memories of Charlotte and ZHOP. We poured our lives into seeing day & night prayer in Charlotte and we had expected to stay here long term, but now our assignment from the Lord has changed. About 3 months ago I (Ryan) began to have many dreams about moving to KC and being on staff at the IHOP. I resited these dreams for a long time, but as time progressed and the dreams continued there was only one thing that we could do....follow the voice of the Lord and pick up and move. 4 years ago when we were married the Lord impressed upon our hearts in a strong way for us to "pack light because we would be moving around alot," this has proven very true over the last for years. This will be the 8th time in 4 years we will move to a new place. As always we never have enough resources to make the initial move but Jesus always seems to come through at the last moment and somehow we always have enough. Pray for us during this transition.
